Why I Wrote Surviving the Antichrist: A Prophetic Calling I Couldn't Ignore

5 min read · By Christbearing Warrior

I believe the time of Christ's return is near.

I know how that sounds. People have been saying it for two thousand years. And every one of them was closer than the last. But here's the thing — Jesus told us He would come like a thief in the night. By and large, people won't be expecting Him. The world will be eating and drinking, buying and selling, living like tomorrow is guaranteed. That's the setup. That's the trap.

But God also says something else. In Amos 3:7, He tells us: "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."

He doesn't move without telling someone first.

I've felt for a long time that I was called to be a prophet. Not in the dramatic, robe-wearing, staff-carrying way people imagine. I'm a regular guy. I work with my hands. I have a wife and a thirteen-year-old son and a dog and a mortgage. But I've always had this sense — this weight in my chest — that God put me here to warn people about what's coming.

For years, though, I didn't know what to say. I believed I had a calling, but I didn't have a message. Not yet.

Then everything aligned.

All of my interests — prophecy, survival skills, storytelling, scripture study — converged into one clear picture. Like pieces of a blueprint coming together on a table. And suddenly I knew what I was supposed to build.

A Warning and a Help

Surviving the Antichrist is two things at once, and that's by design.

It's a warning to those who are alive right now, before the rapture. The signs are here. The stage is being set. If you're reading this and you haven't surrendered your life to Christ, this book is me grabbing you by the shoulders and saying: the time is now. Don't wait. Don't assume you'll have another chance.

It's a help to those who will be left on this earth after the rapture. And there will be many. People I love. People you love. Maybe people who sat in church their whole lives but never truly believed. When millions vanish and the world descends into chaos, those people will need two things: they'll need to understand what's happening, and they'll need to know how to survive it.

That's why this book is split in two.

The first forty chapters are fiction — a novel that walks through the entire seven-year Tribulation as told by a man who was raptured to Heaven and watches it unfold from above. Two men he knew walk into the fire on opposite sides. One joins the Antichrist. One follows Christ. Their stories show you what's coming — the seals, the trumpets, the bowls of wrath, the mark of the Beast, the Second Coming — all rooted in scripture, all brought to life so vividly you'll feel like you're standing in it.

The second half is a survival guide. Fifteen chapters of real, practical instruction. How to purify water when the rivers run red. How to build hidden shelters. How to grow food in scorched earth. How to refuse the mark of the Beast and survive outside the economic system. This isn't fiction. This is a field manual for the worst period in human history.

Why Both?

Because a warning without a plan is just fear. And a plan without understanding is just guesswork.

I wanted to give people the full picture. The what and the how. The prophecy and the preparation. Read the novel and you'll understand what the Bible says is coming. Read the survival guide and you'll know what to do when it arrives.

One More Thing

I'm a pre-tribulation believer. I believe the rapture will take the church out before the Tribulation begins. So you might ask — if I think I'll be gone, why prep? Why write a survival guide?

Because you never know who in your family might be left behind.

Think about that. Your son. Your sister. Your best friend who always said "maybe later" when you talked about Jesus. They might turn to Christ the moment the rapture happens — but then they're stuck on this earth for seven years of hell. Wouldn't you want them to be ready? Wouldn't you want them to know what's coming and how to endure it?

That's why I wrote this book. It's my letter to the future. My gift to those who might not make the first flight out.

And here's something practical everyone can do right now: leave Bibles in the open in your home. Place them where they can't be missed — on the kitchen counter, on the coffee table, on the nightstand. Not tucked in a drawer. Not buried on a shelf. Put them where they draw the eye. Because after the rapture, when the world falls apart and desperate people start going through abandoned homes looking for supplies, they'll find those Bibles. And maybe — just maybe — they'll find God.

That could be your gift to a dying world.
